Authentication Backends

The Authentication Backends allows to retrieve users / groups from other systems and to authenticate users against this systems.

This screen shows the configured backends.

Name

The name of the backend system as configured in the configuration file.

Enabled

If checked the backend system is active.

Can Synchronize

If checked it is possible to synchronize the users / groups form the backend system.

Can Validate Password

If checked the backend system is able to validate the user password..
