PI Authentication

Mappings (PI DA & AF)

In order to use windows domain accounts for authentication on a PI Data Archive (DA) or PI Asset Framework (AF), you need to configure mappings between windows users/groups and pi identities.

In PI DA you have the option to map windows users or groups to internal identities, groups or users.

In PI AF you have the option to map windows users or groups to internal identities, in order to gain access to the server.

Trust (PI DA)

It is also possible to assign IP addresses and ranges and windows accounts to a specific internal PI identity with so-called trusts.

Security Settings (PI DA)

It is also possible to apply higher security restrictions to the PI DA server to increase the security protection of the server.
